Give Me 10!

I’ve never been on a sports team, or done any military training. The closest I’ve ever been to any kind of physical “training” is an aerobics class that was called "Boot Camp". I didn’t like it. So the analogy I’m going to use here is this is purely imaginary.
In many of my prior pages, I talk about my daily journal writing practice. Here it is again: I get daily email that contains motivational “thoughts for the day”. I use those to prompt journal entries.
Today, I got one from Neale Donald Walsch that says, in part:
“…Do you know why you are alive? To give voice and action and physicality to God. To become the grandest version of the greatest vision ever you held about Who You Are. Everything else is beside the point.” (Sent by: Neale Donald Walsch today@nealedonaldwalsch.ccsend.com 03/24/2010 03:27 AM)
The heading I wrote at the top of my journal page was:
THE GRANDEST VERSION/GREATEST VISION I HAVE OF ME
Then I listed 10 things that I thought represented a pretty good version of myself.
…which happens to be NOT the point of this writing at all. It’s not about my great idea of who I am, but the fact that I came up with 10 things!
I used to be very limited in my ability to come up with items that would actually fit the categories I gave to myself for my daily writing exercises. Sometimes I only identified 2 or 3 things, and there’s nothing wrong with having only 2 or 3 really good things to think about each morning.
My purpose for the daily journal writing is to expand my thinking, open up to the Universe, in case I’m in for some really big insights, and focus on what I’m creating in my life at the moment. It’s working very well for me. Because…
I GET MORE OF WHATEVER I THINK ABOUT AND FOCUS ON
The thing is, that since I’ve been doing this, I can see an increase in my ability to “get into it”. It’s like my imagination and inspiration are expanding. I can whip out 10 things now rather quickly, on any topic I give myself.
My muscles for interacting with imagination and insight seem to be getting stronger. It feels like training for running a marathon or weight lifting. I can do more with less effort and when I stretch to my limits, I’m stronger the next day. Where I was only capable of squeezing out 2 or 3 good things, now I can get to 10 easily. Like doing 10 mental push-ups on command.

I like this "training exercise" because it shows me that I’m in vibrational harmony with my desires. I’ve been training my thought patterns to be consistently within the range of positive, welcoming thoughts that attract more of the same – and I’m getting better at it!
Want to try it? Get a paper & pen. I’ll give you a short cut, so you don’t have to locate the topics. Use each of the titles below and list as many things as you can under each one.
I gave you 10!
(These things should apply to your current reality AND they have to be positive.)
- What I want…
- I wonder about…
- My Comfort Zone includes…
- Best possible thoughts for today…
- I’m happy about…
- I’m passionate about…
- Favorable thoughts about what I already have…
- I’m truthful with myself about…
- I feel good about…
- What’s ahead for me…
Keep writing...
